A new Keith Richards documentary, Under the Influence, was recently released on Netflix, the perfect culmination of a half-decade that has been a Richards resurgence of sorts. His best-selling autobiography, Life, was published in 2010, and the Stones’ yin to Mick Jagger’s yang has a new solo album out called Crosseyed Heart, his first in over 30 years. There’s just something about the crusty, semi-sober, chain-smoking Rolling Stones guitar player that resonates with fans. But despite that fact that the band hasn’t released a new album in a decade, it’s not like the Stones are on hiatus or anything. In fact, the gents are reportedly working on some new tunes in the studio together. “Start Me Up”

This early ‘80s hit featured a gymnast-like Jagger in yoga pants and a purple t-shirt vamping and slinking his way around the band against a minimalist black backdrop. No frills here, just feathered haircuts and vintage Stones rock and roll, proving that their best didn’t necessarily lie behind them.
